Our Legacy

Hereford's Legacy Academy was born from a simple question I found myself asking as a mom.

What if learning could feel like an adventure instead of another obligation?

As a mother of two young boys, I wanted to create the kind of experiences I was searching for as a parent. A place where children are excited to ask questions, encouraged to think differently, and surrounded by adults who truly see them. A place where curiosity is celebrated, creativity is nurtured, and every child feels like they belong.

That dream became Hereford's Legacy Academy, a University for Curious Kids.

Our Legacy Labs are designed to give children meaningful, hands on experiences that spark imagination and build confidence. Whether they're designing a future city, solving mysteries, exploring the natural world, or creating something completely their own, every lab is an opportunity to discover new passions and develop skills that last far beyond the classroom.

We believe childhood should be filled with wonder. We believe learning should be joyful. We believe confidence grows when children are given the freedom to explore, make mistakes, ask big questions, and share their ideas.

Every Legacy Lab is part of one of our six academies, giving children the opportunity to explore science, engineering, creativity, leadership, culture, and discovery in ways that feel exciting, engaging, and age appropriate.

Most of all, we want HLA to be a place families look forward to each week. A place where children walk through the doors feeling excited, leave feeling proud of what they created, and can't wait to come back.

Because we're not just creating enrichment programs. We're creating experiences that help children discover who they are, what they love, and what they're capable of.

That's the legacy we hope every family takes home.
